Winter is coming to DC with the arrival of a new Game of Thrones pub.
Based on the popular TV series, this pop-up bar invites guests to visit the North, the Red Keep, Mereen, the House of Black and White, and the Throne Room. Fans of the HBO series can wander around the seven kingdoms while sipping on cocktails with names that require insider knowledge of the show to understand, like, "the Lanisters send their regards" and "What is Dead May Never Die." Nods to particular scenes in the show are scattered throughout this immersive experience, including a chiming bell accompanied by the bartenders yelling "Shame! Shame!," a room filled with dragon smoke, and of course, a chance for guests to sit on the Iron Throne.
The bar was conceived in celebration of the show's return this summer and will remain open for the remainder of the season.
