'Fuud' is the name of a new Canadian food delivery service that focuses on sharing ready-to-cook kits prepared with seasonal and local farm-to-table ingredients.
Recipes crafted by local chefs are included with every delivery, including flavorful options like salmon chowder, cannelini soup and spicy garlic shrimp. Celebrating local chefs and farmers is a large part of what Fuud does to set itself from other meal delivery services. As Fuud co-founder Thomas Buchan says: "In our research, we found that demand for local food is on the rise, but farmers are actually on the decline. So, we’ve made it a focal point of our business to help and support local farmers as much as possible."
As far as what's next for Fuud, it is currently developing an online marketplace where consumers may place orders from farmers and vendors in order to further support them and the work that they do.
