PR Agency 'Cow' Brightens People's Day With Publicity Stunt

It’s not every day you see cannons giving flower showers off the top of a bus. It’s also not every day that you get free flowers to take home. That’s what PR and brand communications agency Cow did to promote the Flower Council of Holland’s competition to win one of 1000 bunches of free flowers. Cow took a bus across the UK to cities in need of a little brightening - Basildon, Slough, Cardiff, Bristol, Wolverhampton, Coventry and Sheffield - handing out flowers and showering the inhabitants of each city with petals blasted off the top off the bus.

It was actually surprisingly hard to give away free flowers - we’ve got some great out-takes where people were very confused and downright rude, and refused to take them. But those who did stop to chat had only positive things to say, and lots of "Oh, you’ve made my day!"
