Fedwell is Inspired by the Ingredients in Human Food

Fedwell is a Boston dog food startup that offers healthy and natural recipes made using only the purest ingredients. The company is confident in that claim because the recipe is inspired by the founder's own experience with her dog.

During a two year stint in South Africa for the Peace Corps, Emily Lagasse, the founder of Fedwell, fed her dog the same meals that she herself ate simply by necessity. After returning stateside and switching her dog back to a more conventional diet, the poor pup got seriously sick. She decided to take classes and learn how to make healthy meals for dogs herself rather than relying on the store-bought kibble, and these home-cooking principles are in every bag of Fedwell.

Most of Fedwell's ingredients are local, save for the lamb which is imported from New Zealand. The ingredients are all natural, and they're cooked at a low temperature to preserve nutrients.
