Tumblr user frannyxlife used his passion for his two favorite things (fashion and Pokemon) as inspiration for his themed blog. Essentially, he adds Pokemon characters like Jiggly Puff and Pikachu into whimsical positions in fashion photos with the use of Photoshop and then posts them to his blog titled Pokexfashion.
Each of his recreated editorials is quite comical, especially when you see numerous Pokemon propped behind a serious-faced Emma Stone, or perched upon Angelina Jolie’s knee. He even takes popular photos from beauty campaigns, like Prada’s sensual Prada Candy ad, and playfully adds a Pokemon in them.
The blog has received a lot of hype since its creation, so it will be interesting to see if Pokemon will resurface as a fashion subculture.
