Photographer and artist Edward Cushenberry chronicles the sisterly bond between his friends Yuri and Hana Ogita. Cushenberry met Yuri through a mutual friend several years ago, and marveled at the intensity of her relationship to her sister Hana. Inspired by their unique attachment and affinity for one another, Cushenberry created a documentary series titled ‘The Ogita Sisters.’
The tight-knit siblings work as designers in Los Angeles, and their creativity and comfort with one another is apparent in each image. In fact, there’s not a trace of animosity or sibling rivalry between them at all.
Though the girls are thick as thieves, their distinctive personalities manage to shine through. Cushenberry definitely did the girls justice with his beautifully simplistic work in ‘The Ogita Sisters.’ Those with siblings will definitely appreciate this intimate photo diary.
