Digital fashion retailer DressX and Zepeto, an online metaverse platform, teamed up to launch a collection of digital-only wearables. The five digital looks were based on Zepeto’s virtual fashion influencer, Monica Quin, and the character's signature color palette. In the metaverse, Zepeto users can dress up their avatars and some of the items can also be viewed in augmented reality through the DressX app.
In a press release, Daria Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova, the founders of DressX, remarked that "this collection gives an insight into the future of fashion, where ideas are born and brought to life fully and authentically in the digital world." These exclusive digital wearables support a new wave of fashion consumers who want to express themselves, their sense of style and their creativity, without limits, in the metaverse.
