Mangled Emoji Sculptures

'The Last Emoji' Installation Marks Distracted Driving Awareness Month

In order to bring attention to April being Distracted Driving Awareness month, mobile provider Sprint set up an arresting emoji-themed installation PSA. 'The Last Emoji' is a sculpture that was assembled from wrecked automotive pieces that were salvaged from a junkyard's supply. The installation was set up in Miami and used a part of a red seat for the emoji's tongue and wheels for its eyes, in order to remind the public of the dangers of texting and driving.

During Distracted Driving Awareness month, Sprint encouraged people to share the "DN'T TXT & DRIVE" message by taking a photo or a selfie with the wrecked emoji sculpture and sharing it with the #SprintDriveSafe hashtag.

The use of totaled emojis is a common theme in texting and driving advertisements targeted at young drivers.
