The handmade Hawaiian products are crafted with a base of baking soda, organic arrowroot, kaolin clay and `ōlena, or turmeric. Mamalani produces five scents, ('Akahai, Ha'aha'a, Lokahi and 'Olu'olu) each of which is named after traditional Hawaiian values like unity, humility and kindness.
In terms of scent, the multipurpose deodorant powders feature mindfully selected, functional essential oils like antibacterial tea tree, uplifting lemongrass and calming clary sage. To apply these powders that are dispensed via a sifter top, Mamalani recommends either applying it straight to the skin with the hands or with a brush.
