Rosewood London Releases a David Hockney-Inspired Afternoon Tea

Rosewood London has released an afternoon tea experience inspired by British painter David Hockney in its menu selection. David Hockney is one of the most influential painters in British history and is an artist who contributed to the pop art movement in the 1960s. He is one of the latest celebrated artists in Rosewood London's Art Afternoon Teas, which executive pastry chef Mark Perkins heads.

The tea is inspired by David Hockney's Bigger & Closer exhibition and his personal life. The afternoon comprises three courses, including finger sandwiches and scones. Additionally, the afternoon tea is curated by Perkins with a selection of sweet treats that also reflect David Hockney's artwork. The standout sweet treat is David Hockney's Los Angles-inspired 'The Splash' painting mimicked petit gâterie. It consists of a passionfruit above a chocolate sponge layer with a blue gaze over Earl Grey chocolate bavarois, which imitates the Californian swimming pool in the painting. The afternoon tea experience is $75 GBP per person.
