Recycled Cork House Designs

Rundzwei Architekten's Project Boasts a High Acoustic Performance

Rundzwei Architekten was commissioned to develop a home with an affinity toward high-quality acoustics and the studio produced a monolithic cork house that is rooted in sustainable practices. The material was relentlessly heated and pressured to satisfy the functions of construction.

Rundzwei Architekten tapped a bottle manufacturer for cork waste that later was utilized for the home's facade. The natural cork house is situated in Berlin and the aesthetic is absolutely captivating, communicating a strong contemporary vibe. The interior of the structure boasts an open-concept layout, an abundance of bright spaces, and modern furnishings. Rundzwei Architekten balance the inside of the cork house with timber and concrete embellishments that effortlessly insert themselves into the narrative.
