Nabisco has released an abundance of new flavors for their signature chocolate sandwich cookies, which now includes the extremely self-referential Cookies and Cream Oreo. The limited edition cookie is essentially cookie flavored, which is an interesting choice following recent quirky options such as Key Lime Pie.
The packaging for the Cookies and Cream Oreo does include a photo of ice cream, but the fact remains that cream and chocolate cookie is the exact essence of the original Oreo cookie. A few years ago, Oreo released a similar cookie, which had the same flavor but was referred to as Cookies n' Cream instead of Cookies & Cream. The Oreo-flavored Oreos appear to already be in stores.
