N+B architects embraced the challenge of constructing the 'New House,' a concrete house situated on a slope. Despite its difficulties, the precarious location allows the home to better embrace the landscape.
The front of the home is made up of Corten steel sheets, layered for a more optically interesting effect. In fact, the entire home is comprised of an undulating sequence of frames. To combat the potential problem of overheating, the facade is constructed with a rotation system to filter out the sun and enhance privacy, as well as optimize for sun breezes.
The end result is a home that embraces the unconventional in terms of material, arrangement and location, making it truly unique.
