Global Ionics LLC recently introduced the 'Beverage Power,' a unique vessel that uses the power of the human body, a patented electric circuit and a battery to prevent drinks from going flat. To do so, the vessel generates a small and safe electric current within any beverage, allowing it to stay fresh and not flat for hours. As well as keeping drinks at their prime, the company notes that the device is also useful for "bringing a flat drink back to life."
To use the device, Beverage Power can be attached to any cup, glass or drinking vessel. A drinker's hand then comes into contact with the the metal "acti-strip" fastened to the cup. To indicate the completion of the circuit, a light is activated on the bottom of the cup.
At CE Week New York 2016, Beverage Power was recognized as one 'Best in Show' winner.
