If you've ever wanted to learn more about wildlife and animals, but don't live close to a zoo, you can now educate yourself remotely as the Beijing Zoo has created a virtual animal-viewing experience. A new host site can livestream the zoo animals thanks to a collaboration between the Beijing Zoo and web service Baidu.
This site brings zoo education to your desktop, allowing you to look at and learn about everything from penguins to panda bears. Whether you are doing a school project on lemurs or have always wanted to know what alpacas look like before their wool ends up in your blankets, this online experience has a lot of knowledge to spread. The website launched on June 1 with over 3 million virtual visitors able to observe wildlife in real-time.
