In order to bring awareness to the fact that bees play a significant part in adding flavor to the food and drinks that humans consume, beverage brand Taylors of Harrogate created a unique bee home.
'The Grand Beedapest Hotel' takes inspiration from Wes Anderson's Grand Budapest Hotel film and introduces a luxurious place where these insects can make themselves at home. In The Rose Lemonade restaurant, bees can sample pollen-filled plates or enjoy a decadent rhubarb sugar water bath in one of the suites. Hollow tubes in each of the suites provides a space for bees to nest after exploring all the treats inside this bee home.
As well as bringing attention to the role that bees play in developing the flavor of fruits and herbal teas, The Grand Beedapest Hotel also reminds that there's plenty of potential to make urban areas much more friendly to these important insects.
