'Aventures d’un village' is a clever children's book that is a creative take on 'choose your adventure' stories and games. Likened to the art of origami, each page consists of various folds. By turning one over, the story unfolds in a specific way. For instance, the initial village can turn into a big city or become surrounded by pine trees and a lake.
Created by Julie Stephen Chheng, a graduate of the Paris Arts Decoratifs School, 'Aventures d’un village' can be read eight different ways. Each storyline involves a threat of destruction in the form of aliens, monsters, a huge wave and more. Yet there are also eight ways of escape. The interactive book is a fun way to engage children on an even more creative level while still providing pure entertainment.
