Recycled plastic and salt crystals were the materials used by London's Auroboros for creating a dynamic living dress that changes shape and color. As the designers of Auroboros described to Dezeen, "the design of the gown seeks to envisage how a plant would appear if it were to grow on a body, depicting how it would mould to the shape and silhouette of a figure."
The Biomimicry dress was created with digital programming and recycled Perspex to form the underlying structure for the artful piece. To finish off the striking look, the dress was paired with recycled glass beads by Swarovski from a precious project.
Biomimicry was recently worn by artificial intelligence robot Ai-Da at the London Design Festival and an exhibition inside the Victoria and Albert Musuem.
