In this short span of time, Audi tells the story of an astronaut who seems to get little joy out of life in his old age on Earth. However, he quickly snaps back to life when he gets the chance to ride the new 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus, which gives him flashbacks to his time as a young space explorer. The commercial is set to the tune of late David Bowie's 'Starman.'
There are a few other fun car ads that will be running during the Super Bowl 50 commercial breaks with musical themes. This includes a promotion the Acura NSX set to the sounds of Van Halen, as well as a more quirky commercial from Honda, which features a pack of sheep singing along to Queen.
