The Warburtons 'Ask for Ellen' campaign is being run by the brand with the help of Morrisons in the UK to help celebrate Easter and provide parents and children experiencing financial hardship with a small break. The campaign is running from March 25 through April 14, 2024 and only requires customers to ask for Ellen to receive free crumpets, no questions asked. The campaign is running alongside the Morrisons Kids Eat Free promotion that runs all day, every day and provides parents with a complimentary kids meal with the purchase of any adult meal priced at £4.50 or more.
Chairman of Warburtons Jonathan Warburton commented on the Warburtons 'Ask for Ellen' campaign saying, "As families continue to feel the financial pinch as we head into the Easter break, we’re looking forward to providing a little support for those who might need it. During our ‘Ask for Ellen’ initiative last year, we served a mammoth 300,000 portions of crumpets, and we are expecting to serve a further 100,000 free portions of crumpets to families up and down the country as part of the scheme this Easter holiday."
