Artport TLV is new a commune for artists in residence. Tel Aviv architects Keren Avni, Leeat Ainhorn and Carmit Harnik won a conceptual design competition for the new hub of local artistry.
Formerly industrial hangars, the space is now a thriving artistic space. Located in the south of Tel Aviv, the art centre consists of eight studios for artists in residence, a communal office/living area in addition to a 656 square foot flexible gallery space. The area between hangars is utilized for exterior showcases. It is also opened to the public as a pathway for outdoor art related activities.
The open and airy space has been transformed from a run down sight sore to a breathtaking and visually pleasing place.
