Apocalyptic Architecture

The Endangered Seed Archive Looks Like An Ice Palace

Student designer Brittany Bell wanted to create a building where potentially endangered plant "seeds will be stored in the event of a future apocalypse."

She designed this conceptual structure to imitate the architecture of a growing plant. In essence, the building is alive and adjusts itself to weather conditions, sunshine and the growth of large trees.

Although this may all seem far-out to most of us, it is the visualization and imagination of young artists such as Bell that lead us to future innovations.
