Quebec-based photographer Andre Villeneuve usually captures scenes of nature and wildlife, but I doubt he ever expected to come across this unusual friendship between a songbird and a red squirrel. Both of the woodland critters are adorable and intrigued by one another.
The adorable photos feature the two animals frolicking in the snow together and separately. They can be seen eating together, checking out blooming flowers amongst what is left of the snow and gathering their food.
Although Andre shoots a wide-range of Northern woodland wildlife, he says on his website that these two (the red squirrel and the titmouse songbird) are his favorite to photograph. It's obvious why: they are naturally curious and full of spunk!
