The design of the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy is one that looks just like the official World Cup logo for Brazil, which looks like hands holding a ball. Inspired by the shape of the trophy, London-based artist Emma Allen transformed herself into the soccer trophy with a bit of paint.
The experienced face and body painter is used to doing work on others, but this World Cup makeup transformation was one she did on herself. It involved putting on a bald cap and applying gold paint to her face and arms over the course of about two hours, plus another hour to perfect the pose during a photoshoot—in which Allen's eyes are closed. The final look turned out remarkably well it's definitely a winning selfie.
