'Zhoug Sauce' is one of the newest products to be available at Trader Joe's, offering consumers a taste of a fragrant and spicy pesto-like sauce that is likely to have originated in Yemen.
Zhoug is now a popular spicy herb and chile pepper relish across the Middle East, made with a base of cilantro. Trader Joe's take on the globally inspired sauce stays true to this, and also includes other ingredients such as: canola oil, jalapeño peppers, chile flakes, garlic, cardamom, sea salt and cumin seeds.
