The wooden entry stairs are perhaps one of the more striking features of this modern dwelling, located on the remote peninsula of Isla Lebe in southern Chile. The house is designed as a much-needed retreat for Guillermo Acuña who oversaw the restoration of an existing boathouse.
The structure's top floor is identified through a fully glazed facade, which allows residents to take advantage and marvel at the absolutely mesmerizing coastal environment. A strong aesthetic character is motivated through the use of the color red, which adorns the interior in its entirety — from ceiling to floor, with a few hits and piping for the exterior of the structure. In addition, the wooden entry stairs leave a rustic and contemporary feel.
