In order to enhance wine experiences by making participants more aware of origins or notes, Graphene 3D Lab and Ideum teamed up to create an interactive tasting table for California's JCB Wines.
The JCB Wine Tasting Experience is high-tech from start to finish, involving 3D-printed wine glasses and a smart touchscreen table. When attending one of the brand's new JCB Tasting Salons, four visitors are taken on a sensory journey of wine.
The 3D-printed wine glasses themselves were developed with a capacitive technology that's able to pick up on the wine types in different glasses. With this information, when a glass of wine is placed on the surface of the table, it is able to bring up virtual image collages and notes on flavor or details on the wine-making process.
