The latest exhibition at Parisian gallery 'Gaite Lyrique' is all about wacky fashion and is playfully inspired by colorful and off-beat monsters. The outlandish designs include a puffy pom-pom of clouds by Walter Van Beirendonc and luminous orange blobs and tetris blocks, which are all being worn by models. The exhibition is entitled 'Arrrgh! Monstres de mode,' which translates as 'Monsters in Fashion.'
Stamos Fafalios and Vassilis Zidianakis are the creators behind this abstract fashion exhibition, and they say they wanted the show to focus on the newest and most creative fashion designers possible. As a result, nothing in the show pre-dates 2001. The duo say they want to showcase designs which "redefine the relationship between body and clothing." These designs are interesting to study and show us just how wild and creative clothing designers' imaginations can run.
