Virtual tourism allows people to experience different parts of the world without actually having to leave their homes. A website called TravelByDrone lets internet users see places through videos captured by drones. The site consists of an interactive map. By clicking on pins you can see a short video of that location.
Anyone can upload drone footage, which the site must approve to be uploaded. While the list of featured locations is quite comprehensive, it goes without saying some places are not featured, such as northern Africa, North Korea and much of Russia.
