YouTube announced that it recently added chapters to make video navigation more user friendly. Users are able to select different chapters to play different sections of a vide. The function is available at the bottom of the platform, and where timestamps are displayed. Each chapter has to be a minimum of 10 seconds in length, and the first one is always at the beginning of the video. The new feature is especially beneficial for users watching long-form video content, like podcasts.
The video navigation feature saw success during the testing period, and the platform deciding to make it a permanent option for users beginning on May 28th. The new chapters' function is also available across all platforms, including iOS, Android, and web browsers.
