In preparation for February 14th, Bompas & Parr teamed up with champagne producer Perrier-Jouët to open a unique Valentine's Day flower shop. While these kinds of stores are some of the most popular at this time of year, the flowers and bouquets at this particular shop are not the norm.
The Perrier-Jouët Fleurs des Rêves pop-up is a place where the public can visit in order to make and purchase their own custom color-changing thermochromatic flowers. In the workshop, visitors are given the chance to hand-paint petals with thermochromatic ink in order to colorize them. In addition to this, the shop also hosts a champagne tasting and a talk on floriography, or the meanings behind certain flower types.
In terms of sights and sounds, the space itself aims to visually blend the look of a greenhouse with a 1890s Parisian salon, set to the tune of a playlist that is said to become " lurid, profane and psychedelic" as the evening goes on.
