The design team over at Ultraspace has just built an incredibly chic and fabulous single family home in Los Angeles, California that features a beautiful, runway-inspired pool.
The pool spans the length of the house's side, with its narrow shape and concrete borders giving it a catwalk-esque look. The pool also features small, narrow platforms in its middle, enhancing its runway appearance and making it possible to cross the pool without entering the water, or simply take a break from swimming.
This contemporary house also features a movable rooftop that can extend over the pool's length, sheltering it from the elements while allowing it to remain outside. This high-tech and luxurious quality adds some flash and pizzazz to the already gorgeous swimming area, evoking more feelings of high fashion and haute couture.
This pool's design demonstrates how much the fashion industry has infiltrated other forms of design; so much so, that this entire house and its pool were inspired by the appearance of a catwalk from a fashion show. The pool's sleek design indicates a general move towards minimalist architecture. With this shift, it's clear that even family homes are beginning to employ sleek, understated designs that radiate luxury.
