The Twist-Grille Stool looks like a standard seat except for the warped base it is supported on. Nevertheless, the criss-crossing legs are twisted in such a subtle way that they simply add an almost artistic touch to the overal design. Upon closer inspection, the Twist-Grille Stool has a rugged appearance, which will bring some character to the often prim and proper living space of the modern individual.
Designed by Yen Hao Chen and Hui-Ying Lu, the Twist-Grille Stool is inspired by the characteristic feature of the traditional Taiwanese window grill, which relies heavily on twisted metal. Although already supported on three triangular elements, the twisting of the metal adds structural strength to the colorful Twist-Grille Stool.
