The Andaz Peninsula Papagayo is an idyllic tropical hotel with an open-air lobby that stations guests alongside some of Costa Rica's most incredible wildlife. The 28-acre property is tucked into the side of a mountain, giving guests the perfect view of the clear blue waters, sky and lush green foliage. Being immersed in nature like this is enough to open your eyes to all that surround you, but for travelers who are looking for a little bit more, the hotel also partners with local groups to offer tours of the area.
Aside from where it is situated, some of the highlights of the hotel include its three restaurants, spa, meeting rooms and luxury suites. In designing the hotel, Costa Rican native Ronald Zurcher wanted the hotel to blend in the nature as much as possible.
