TRESemmé and SimpleeBEAUTIFUL Laucnh the Texture Certification Program
Elena Rahman — April 28, 2022 — Fashion
TRESemmé and SimpleeBEAUTIFUL teamed up to launch a texture certification program to educate stylists across the nation on how to properly style and cut curly and textured hair. Finding a good stylist is difficult, especially if your hair has special texture-oriented hair needs.
To help people with curly and textured hair, TRESemmé and SimpleeBEAUTIFUL will train and certify licensed hair professionals on how to work with various types of curls and coils. The initiative aims to certify over 1,000 stylists by the end of 2022. Currently, there is no state cosmetology licensing departments that require a fundamental understanding of textured and coily hair. The result is a lack of services for folks with these hair types, which TRESemmé's initiative aims to change.
