The biggest challenge for this architectural project by French studio Atelier LAVIT was accommodating the elaborate bird nest-inspired treehouse design to the modern concept of a functioning hotel room. The ORIGIN Tree House is a sturdy wooden structure, built on a hundred-year-old oak. The structure offers French residents and visiting tourists an elevated escape from the urban landscape and a meditative experience of the enclosing forest.
For this exceptional project, Atelier LAVIT channeled the naturally embedded assembly logic behind bird nest architecture and rethought it to successfully meet human needs in its elaborate treehouse design. The beautiful structure has a well-lit minimalist interior with a spa option, as well as a rooftop terrace engulfed in the peaceful green presence of the surrounding trees.
