The Toyota FT-HT Yuejia Has Six Individual Seats and Suicide Doors
Michael Hines — April 26, 2013 — Autos
The Toyota FT-HT Yuejia is one of the most interesting concept cars the Japanese automaker has brought to the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show (Toyota brought 50 models in total). The FT-HT Yuejia (Yuejia means happiness) is a six-seater with an intriguing interior and exterior. For starters, the happiness doesn’t have any B-pillars. This provides more interior space and allows for the concept to have three rows consisting of two independent seats each. The four-door ride also has suicide doors. That’s right, suicide doors on a Toyota.
The exterior of the Toyota FT-HT Yuejia is highlighted by an oversized grille and curvaceous taillights. The car is a hybrid and will be developed exclusively for the Chinese market. No word yet on pricing or availability.
