The Toronto Raptors are celebrating their 20th Anniversary in the NBA by taking it back retro style by bringing back the purple jerseys! What better way to celebrate 20 years than to bring back the beloved original 90s purple raptor jersey? The NBA team also decided to redo its logo design recently to feature the Raptor Dinosaur without the arched spiked crest around it and the red dinosaur stands on its own now.

Many Raptors fans were disappointed by the choice to switch the jersey’s to a red color. It’s always nice to see a team and sports corporation listen to its fan's feedback. President and general manager Masai Ujiri made a statement saying “Our fans have shown affection for the original purple uniform and I think our players will enjoy the chance to wear them next season.”

The Toronto Raptors 20th anniversary jerseys will embody the excitement of both the future and the past of Raptors basketball. We can’t wait to witness the wonderful tribute and 2014-15 season.
