This fall, at the fourth annual Chicago Pizza Summit, pizza lovers have the chance to enjoy a uniquely themed cocktail called the Deep Dish Daiquiri. The event will introduce this pizza-themed cocktail for the first time, which is prepared with rum, lime juice and unusual ingredients like cherry tomatoes and basil leaves. This creation by The Swill Inn's mixologist and owner Dustin Drankiewicz was created to capture the essence of the city and its signature pizzas.
For those who can't make the event, the unconventionally inspired cocktail can be prepared at home with the recipe shared on Food & Wine. Thanks to the use of Maraschino liqueur and a leafy green garnish, the finished product is a colorful one.
At the Chicago Pizza Summit, pizza lovers will also have the chance to sample other unique alcoholic concoctions like pepperoni-infused vodka from Deep Eddy.
