The Opulus is a brand-new skincare device from the creator of the Clarisonic, Robb Akridge, and it supports a vision for the future of beauty that's focused on freshness, potency and the fight against plastic. As Opulus Beauty Labs chief brand officer Michelle Balmer describes, "It’s the first beauty appliance that serves up freshly activated beauty ingredients at their peak potency." Notably, The Opulus is referred to as an appliance rather than a skincare device, as it's not meant to be used directly on the skin.
The appliance works with plastic-free pods called "opoules" that consist of a hard outer shell and a soft center. Heating the opoules in the appliance creates a single-dose skincare solution that's powered by active beauty ingredients and free from the constraints of packaging.
