The Jaunt is an art and travel project that has been sending visual artists on incredible adventures worldwide celebrating the release of its first hardcover anthology.
Working on an innovative and unique model, the Jaunt had previously funded these assignments by pre-selling copies of limited edition zines in which the artists would be documenting their travels. Currently, the Dutch project has launched a hard copy containing the first ten journeys.
Artists featured in the first crop of ten include David Shillinglaw and Jordy van den Nieuwendijk, while the inspiring project was founded by Netherlands-based Jeroen Smeets.
This unique model of funding art-inspiring travel fills a relevant need in artists for creative stimulation, which is directly related to an artist's creative output.
