The iTok is an iPhone add-on that makes it easier for speech therapists to teach young children correct pronunciation. The device clips onto the iPhone and makes use of the smartphone's microphone to teach children how to pronounce the letters of the alphabet.
The iTok works via its microphone attachments. Each attachment corresponds to a different letter or sound. The attachments are blown into, and feedback is provided in both audio and video form from the iPhone. The iTok is designed to record a patient's progress with that data being reported to insurance companies so that their progress can more accurately be measured.
