The Gavello jewelry store in Mykonos, Greece, recently transformed to resemble the 1960s swimming pool. Designed by the creative agency Saint of Athens in collaboration with Dive Architects, the store stands out from the plethora of nearby retail stores with its luxury 60s style.
The team used cool blue tile throughout the space to achieve its desired look. Lockers and a pool ladder are also featured in the design to further emphasize the jewelry store's theme. The goal was to find an unorthodox way to present the colorful and opulent Gavello pieces to ultimately overthrow the rigid design tradition of the cosmopolitan and picturesque city. Beach balls are thrown precariously around the store to add a sense of playfulness to the otherwise formal jewelry store.
