In the age of digital distractions, adults are reclaiming their focus and time by investing in "dumb phones" with limited features and Heineken is tapping into this with the release of The Boring Phone. This limited-edition phone with a nostalgic style helps people scale back to the basics like calling, texting and connecting with others in reality.
“Smartphones can be too interesting,” says Heineken’s global head Nabil Nasser, “so we wanted to design a boring one… This is going to help answer the call for better nights out.”
The Boring Phone boasts a frosty, transparent case, holographic stickers and Heineken-green buttons. The intentionally minimalist design includes a small 2.8-inch QVGA screen on the inside and an even tinier one on the outside, and it invites adults to step away from their screens and enjoy more socializing without distractions, disruptions and doomscrolling.
