Cartoonist Basil Wolverton, was commissioned by the church from 1953 through 1974 to write and illustrate short stories of the Old Testament. Now you can get his stunning work collected in one 304 page graphic novel which includes 550 illustrations inspired by the Book of Revelations and dozens of cartoons and humorous illustrations for various Worldwide Church publications.
Wolverton is well known for his grotesque drawings and odd creatures. My favorite is the Adam and Eve story. Wish we had this graphic novel available when I was in elementary school.
This graphic novel is a must have for any collector or admirer of great art, whether you are religious or not.
