Tairsgeir is a regenerative whisky conceptualized by Intertype Studio and Officina Poligonale, and it envisions responsible care for the land and the protection of future generations. Imagined as a product that uses peat to dry barley and provide whisky its unique character, Tairsgeir tells a unique sensory story with aromas of oaky spice, peach cobbler, and earthy smoke on the palate.
Tairsgeir gets its name from the Gaelic word for the tool traditionally used to cut peat on the moorlands of Scotland, which also informed the design of the bottle. The neck collar pays homage to the hand of the tool and features the "green man," a Celtic symbol representing the relationship between man and nature, and also rebirth.
