The Sure Chatbot Uses Instagram to Make Restaurant Recommendations

The Sure chatbot aims to make finding a place to eat or grab a cup of coffee easier via artificial intelligence and Instagram. The chatbot works via Facebook Messenger. Once you've sent your location to the Sure chatbot on Messenger it will send you back a list of the most Instagrammed restaurants nearby. From there you can ask for more recommendations or book a table, all through Messenger.

The Sure chatbot has just been rolled out so there are some room for improvements, such as the ability to filter results based on dietary restrictions. Still, the service seems promising, especially given the fact that Instagram is taking a serious run at Yelp when it comes to restaurant and bar advertising. The Sure chatbot is available for use now in 22 cities around the world, including Hong Kong, Stockholm and San Francisco.
