adidas' iconic Superstar sneakers have been remixed many times over but not quite like the one-off pair created for Estonian musician Tommy Cash. The collaboration resulted in a meter-long version of the iconic sneakers, plus a mismatched black and white design for each foot. The monochromatic palette was inspired by the concept of yin and yang, balance and complementary forces in the world. As Tommy Cash expresses, "Both the angel and the devil live in me at the same time – two opposites that are constantly fighting with each other."
As ever, the bespoke sneakers for the conceptual artist have elements of the same Superstar style, yet in a stretched-out form that repeats rows of laces and eyelets one after another.
