The surrealist movement in art has been one of the most revered time periods, and some of the most famous painters came out of that era; Super Magritte has managed to transform the work of Rene Magritte into Super Mario-inspired pieces.
Using some of Magritte's most famous pieces, Super Magritte has been able to reinvent the surrealist creations. Subbing in Super Mario characters in place of the focus of the original artwork has completely changed the theme of the paintings. Although the inspiration of the original painting is still present, the Mario Brother features look comfortable enough in this artwork that if someone were not familiar with Magritte, they may not know he was the original creator. Artist Super Magritte has done a fantastic job of modernizing surrealism.
