The British duo that makeup Studio Swine, Alexander Groves and Azusa Murakami are set to spend the next six months in Brooklyn, New York, as the artists in residence at Mini’s design incubation space. Because of this opportunity, the acclaimed pair were able to produce two entirely new bodies of work, both of which “fuse technology with design, while capturing an essence of the city.”
Inspired by smog, neon lights, chaos and industrial design, each piece featured in the show was inspired by New York City. The pieces are all fused with technology, some more subtle than others, creating an ethereal feeling that captures the spirit of the city.
The show is open to the public on January 17th.
